The wedding venue combines both the old, the former Hunting Lodge of Edward and Mrs Simpson, with a modern, bright and beautiful, luxury, sustainable Orangery, surrounded by charming gardens is the epitome of a garden wedding venue with a friendly, warm-hearted and relaxed welcome that makes you and your guests feel at home the moment you drive onto the estate.
Exclusively yours for the whole day, it’s a place to relax, celebrate and create the perfect of memories. We’re here to talk you through your wedding day at Hayne House… let’s start with a warm welcome to Hayne House and thank you for joining us on this virtual tour.
Your Arrival
Having driven through the historic village of Saltwood and passed Saltwood Castle on your right, the country lane leads you directly onto the Hayne Barn Estate. As you and your guests make your way up the drive it is planted with stunning cherry trees that come into blossom around Easter every year, (to read more see our Spring Weddings at Hayne House Blog)
Take in the beautiful landscape, until you reach the car park, where there is ample parking for all of your guests and yes they can leave their cars overnight.
The Woodland Path
Your guests then make their way down the romantic woodland path that guides them from the large car park, adorned with festoon lights. It is perfect for your evening guests to know where to go and gives you and your photographer an amazing opportunity for evening photos.
Note: the cottage on the left, this is the Pamper Cottage, but more about that later!
The Grounds
Renowned for our glorious grounds with mature trees and lush borders your nearest and dearest can enjoy sipping bubbles in the sunshine whilst you get the best shots with your carefully chosen photographer. The garden offers you an exquisite backdrop for your wedding pictures. Hayne House really is a photographer and videographers dream!
Wedding Ceremonies
Within the estate and private garden at Hayne House, we are licensed to hold civil ceremonies, renewal of vows and blessings, you can hold them under the beautiful new Pavilion or you can choose an indoor ceremony within the stunning purpose-built Orangery.
Outside Ceremonies – The Pavilion
The Pavilion is a brand-new outdoor ceremony area fully accessible by a long and sweeping path from the former Hunting Lodge where you can say ‘We do’ in front of 120 guests. After the ceremony and a showering of confetti, walk back hand in hand to the Hunting Lodge for your drinks reception, with a glass of bubbles.
In the evening as it is adorned by fairy lights it is the perfect place to have the most romantic photos taken.
Indoor Ceremonies – The Orangery
The large purpose-built, eco-chic Orangery with windows overlooking the gardens and romantic roof lanterns, is effortlessly elegant for indoor ceremonies at any time of the year. There is space for 120 guests and has full disabled access and disabled facilities.
The Dining Room – The Orangery
The Orangery, with floor to ceiling doors that open out onto the gardens, looks stunning dressed with either round tables or long wooden trestle tables, or a combination of both, dependant on your personal preference. The Orangery seats 120 guests. The perfect blank canvas for your dream wedding décor.
The Wedding Menu
We are proud to work with Scott Anderson’s who pride themselves on creating an unforgettable dining experience. They utilise the freshest and finest ingredients that are locally sourced and where possible seasonal. Creating delicious canapes served on unique platters to traditional three-course wedding breakfasts, quintessentially English Afternoon Teas, and Street Food for the evening.
The Bi-Folding Doors open for the Evening Reception – The Orangery
Once all of the formalities are over, it’s time to open up the Orangery and transform it into your very own party pad. With our amazing multi-award-winning Handpicked DJ keeping your guests on the dancefloor all evening, the Orangery has a well-stocked bar and plenty of space for your guests to get up and enjoy themselves.
The Former Hunting Lodge:
The Sitting Room, Dining Room and Accommodation
The Former Hunting Lodge, is your home from home. With a beautiful sitting room, original wooden floors and, if the temperature falls, our team will ensure the fires are lit.
The central staircase leads up to the honeymoon suit, perfect for those bridal photos with a large king size bed in which to fall when you can dance no more!
In addition to the Honeymoon Suite, there are five other individually styled all en-suite bedrooms. The day after your wedding a full English Breakfast is served in the cosy dinning room.
The Pamper Cottage
You and your team of bridesmaids or the Groom and groomsmen can choose to get ready on the morning of your special day in the brand new Pamper Cottage. It has everything you could need for your big day – plenty of light, changing area, comfy sofas and professional hairdresser chairs, a small fridge, wine cooler, big mirrors and a Bluetooth speaker to play your favourite tunes on.
Froggies
In addition to the Hunting Lodge there is also a Private B&B within the 35 acres, with 4 double rooms and a self-catering suite.
In total up to 22 guests can be accommodated overnight making it the perfect venue for a destination wedding.
